Diagnostics

An echography is used to examine the eye, its contents, the eyeball, and the tissues behind and around the eyeball. It finds the fastest application in diagnostics when there are opaque ocular environments. Such may be corneal clouds, dense cataracts, vitreous hemorrhage. It can detect the presence and location of retinal detachment, the size and size of ocular or orbital tumors, the thickness of the motor muscles of the eye, etc. Echography is a B-echography (two-dimensional section of the eye tissues) and A-echography (to measure the length of the anterior-posterior axis of the eye) needed to calculate the dioptric force of the artificial intraocular lens in cataract surgery.
