Gonioscopy

Gonioscopy is a method by which the iridocorneal angle is examined. This is the part of the eye that drains the eye fluid. The function of the anterior chamber angle is to assist drainage of the intraocular flow and thus to regulate the intraocular pressure. Gonioscopy is a major part of the diagnosis of glaucoma. The study uses a special lens that is placed on the eye.
