Occlusive surgery includes a variety of restorative and aesthetic procedures on the eyelids, lacerations, orbits (the part of the skull where the eyeball is located), as well as parts of the face located near the eye.
The most common oculoplasty surgery is used in the following diseases:
- Ptoza – this is a condition where the upper eyelid has fallen down on the cornea and leads to poor vision
- Extropion – the eyelid is turned out. This causes irritation, tearing, redness of the eye. May cause visual disturbance due to dry surface of the eye and frequent infections.
- Entropy – with it the eyelid is turned inward and leads to the continuous irritation of the cornea from the eyelashes turned to her, her glow, and so on.
- Trichyosis – Improper growth of lashes. This leads to continuous corneal irritation, erosion, inflammation, etc.
- Halation – barley
- Xanthelasma – a yellow plaque / plaque fat /, located near the inner corners of the eyelids – more often the upper eyelids. Most often they are caused by high levels of lipids, cholesterol and triglycerides.
